Hi! I'm Nancy! Welcome to my “nook”!

I have been described as a “cross” between Martha Stewart and Betty Crocker - with a little Mary Poppins thrown in! If you find this description interesting, you will love my blog! My blog contains kid’s projects, recipes, sewing, crafts, home projects, and a whole lot more!

I grew up as a “Coal Miner’s Daughter” in a small rural town in southern West Virginia, and I have always been something of an over-achiever. I was the first in my very large family to attend college, and I thereby achieved my dream profession of becoming a teacher. I am a wife, mother, grandmother, Sunday School teacher, recently-retired elementary school teacher, sewing/crafter, designer, writer, and fitness enthusiast. Now that I’ve retired from teaching, my son, Joshua, suggested that I start a blog of teaching ideas, but that idea grew! So 1, 2, 3 - here it goes!
